Flat Earthers still exist, and yet they can go up in an airplane and SEE the curvature of the Earth!! 🤦‍♀️ At this point in time, it’s WILFUL ignorance. Prior to this, it *could* be lack of knowledge (though usually it was religion to blame, as it so often the case), but in these days of easily accessible information, there’s no excuse for not knowing something, except to be deliberately obtuse.

The world needs these flat earthers to keep the rest of our minds sharp and agile.

Hilarious. Based on the design of his own map, if Ferguson were standing at the southern tip of New York City, he should be able to clearly see the southern tip of South America.

Oh the simplicity of the minds who only rely on one book, the Bible, to guide them. PT Barnum made his fortune from such fools.

It is fascinating the number of Flat Earthers in the 21st Century!

There was a study published last year (in Spain) that shows where the problem is: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/09636625231166255 — It clearly states that low scientific literacy and overconfidence are highly relevant in explaining the belief in a flat earth.

Nevertheless, beautiful map.

No excuse for stupid. But it is a lovely map. Especially like the vignette of guys clinging to planet. Such a contrasting "comic" style.
