I wouldn’t know - I’m from working class stock. We only hit the middle class in the last generation or two (in some parts of my family, and not at all in others).
Working class path here, as well. All 4 grandparent were Greek Immigrants. My dad a 10th grade dropout with a factory job. Although those paid well in the 50s and 60s.
We keep on looking back at history almost as though we ourselves aren’t becoming a part of history that too will be reflected upon and yet we keep on making the same damn mistakes. Repeating the same mistakes expecting different results. Says something about our real “intelligence”, doesn’t it?
